This spring I have been testing out the High Coast Crossbody, a compact but versatile bag, perfect for travel or any outing. Initial Impressions of the Fjӓllrӓven High Coast Crossbody
Right out of the box, I was impressed with the quality feel and simple easy style of the High Coast Crossbody. At 3 liters of volume, it appears small and sleek, but surprisingly holds a lot, easily fitting essential items for travel or a trip across town. The bag features a front zippered pocket, and main larger compartment with two interior mesh pockets, and an interior zippered pocket with key hook. The crossbody strap is padded for comfort and fully adjustable on both ends. In addition, the strap can be removed completely to use the bag as gear storage or for toiletries.

I love finding gear that is committed to the environment, and I was excited to check out the High Coast Crossbody.
Testing the High Coast Crossbody
Fjӓllrӓven’s High Coast Crossbody is a great looking bag. The High Coast Crossbody has eight different colors to choose from. I have the bag in the color navy, which is timeless and goes with anything. It easily dresses up for a night out (in our casual mountain town) and looks great for everyday use. The bags simple design with clean lines fits close to my body, so I hardly notice that it’s there. The padded crossbody strap is comfortable to wear either with the bag towards my front or back.

The High Coast Crossbody is extremely functional and versatile. I love the interior mesh pockets for keeping small items organized. They easily fit my small credit card wallet or loose cash or coins. The outer pocket is perfect for my cell phone (an iPhone 14) so I can avoid digging through the main pocket to find it. The key hook in the interior pocket is also great for keeping track of my keys, especially when traveling. It was great to return from our trip to Florida and know exactly where are car keys were located when we landed back to home again. The main compartment easily fits all of my other essentials for daily outings (mostly snacks for my kids!).

In addition to daily use around town, I also used the High Coast Crossbody on our spring break trip to Florida and found it exceptionally handy in the airport and on the airplane for keeping travel necessities close at hand. I can imagine using this bag on larger international trips in the future!

Durability and Longevity
Fjӓllrӓven’s High Coast Crossbody feels durable. While I’ve only used it for the past couple of months, I expect this bag to easily hold up to daily use (and abuse!). If not, Fjӓllrӓven accepts all gear for lifetime repairs. Another great facet of this bag is that it can be used as a gear bag or toiletry bag. I don’t know how many old purse-type bags I have lying around, but it will be great to repurpose this bag well past its original use. I look for longevity in the products I purchase, so it is great to know the High Coast Crossbody will have a long lifespan of use.
