Chaos Winter Hat Review

Ok, so the photo above makes the Adrenaline Multi-tasker Pro look a little scary and masculine. However, I was recently very very thankful that I packed the Multi-tasker Pro into my pack while spending a full day on the mountain. As we all know, weather can change quite suddenly and a sudden drop in temperature can turn your ideal day into a nightmare filled with a raw nose and some severe wind burn. The Multi-tasker Pro is thin enough to place under your ski helmet without bunching up, yet provides great warmth in a light package. The balaclava style offers protection over your ears with added face protection that can be easily be pulled up or down depending on the conditions; when pulling the face shield portion down you don’t get that choking sensation or tightening like some other balaclava’s I have tried in the past. The Multi-tasker Pro is made from Dri-Release fabric, which is essentially a wicking fabric that does not get globed up with snot and icicles, like traditional fleece neck gaiters. The Adrenaline Multi-tasker Pro has made a trip through the washer and dryer a few times and has come out looking no worse for the wear, holding its shape close to the face thanks to lycra and Chaos’ 3D form fitting flat panel construction.

Next up, the Chinook Bandana that offers some of the same great protection as the Multi-tasker Pro, but eliminates the need to take your helmet off/on. The bandana can be put on while riding the chair lift or mid run thanks to a Velcro tab closure in the rear. The Chinook bandana features the same lycra binding around the face and windshield inserts, or reinforced areas, to block the pesky wind gusts. The mesh breathing panels have been great when I start to burn some energy and increase my respiratory rate. When wearing the bandana with a pair of ski goggles there has been no increase in goggle fogging and my face is 100% covered.

Chaos Hat

I have talked about functional pieces, how about a little style? Chaos features an entire line of stylish and functional hats to meet your needs, whether you are male, female, or a little kiddo. There are strips, solids, patterns, beanies with a nice ball on top, slouched style, or those with a brim. Really, there are so many to choose from. I really enjoyed the Monsters hat, ok so I am a little old for this hat and didn’t really test it out, but it is pretty darn cute. Really, I had the Liv hat and loved how cozy-soft it was and it felt like it was really made for a women’s head, running a tad smaller. Please check out their website, because they are bound to have something to meet your likes and at a reasonable price too. Shannon

Shannon, our fabulous female tester, takes gear testing to a new level for women. When not at work or school, she is most likely training for a marathon, climbing one of Colorado’s tallest peaks, riding her road bike, or skiing down a mountain slope. Like many women, Shannon gets cold easily, therefore, we try to test the best all weather gear to help her stay warm and dry during all day outdoor pursuits. In the warmer months, Shannon enjoys exploring the Colorado backcountry with her friends and dogs and attempts to escape for as many trail runs as her schedule allows. Shannon is a great women’s tester because she gives readers true insight into how a product may perform for an active woman.
