EAS Myoplex Strength Ready-to-Drink Nutrition Shake Review

EAS (Energy-Athletics-Strength) has released a new version of their patented Myoplex nutritional shake. The new EAS Myoplex Strength Ready-to-Drink Nutrition Shake formula offers 25 grams of protein versus 40 grams in Myoplex Original and 20 grams in Myoplex Lite. The decrease in high quality proteins remains sufficient for most athletes, while also allowing for a lighter-easier to drink shake. The Strength formula provides not only protein, but also quality carbohydrates and very few sugars, which combine to help rebuild lean muscle if used after a workout. We tried 3 flavors of Myoplex Strength: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate cream. Our favorite flavor was chocolate, while vanilla was easiest to mix with fresh fruit for a post run smoothy. The Myoplex Strength formulation currently comes in a nice re-sealable ready-to-drink plastic bottle that is perfect for a person that is on the go after a workout. In the future, however, it might be nice to have Myoplex Strength in a powder form, like other Myoplex products, so that it can be used in combination with fruits, nuts, and whatever else you like to through in your blender. The Myoplex Strength formulation was used after a few 18-20 mile runs; our testers found that they felt more energetic and less fatigued after the workout and the next day. Were these effects a result of a placebo effect or real results? Our testers believed that the Myoplex produced real results and have since added Myoplex Strength to their nutritional routine to reap the long-term benefits of the nutrition shake. Shannon

Shannon, our fabulous female tester, takes gear testing to a new level for women. When not at work or school, she is most likely training for a marathon, climbing one of Colorado’s tallest peaks, riding her road bike, or skiing down a mountain slope. Like many women, Shannon gets cold easily, therefore, we try to test the best all weather gear to help her stay warm and dry during all day outdoor pursuits. In the warmer months, Shannon enjoys exploring the Colorado backcountry with her friends and dogs and attempts to escape for as many trail runs as her schedule allows. Shannon is a great women’s tester because she gives readers true insight into how a product may perform for an active woman.
