Mountainsmith Modular Hauler 3 Storage System Review

The Mountainsmith Modular Hauler 3 Storage System is designed for outdoorsy folks that love to be organized and ready to head out for their next adventure with just a moments notice. The Modular Hauler 3 provides a large main packing compartment that houses three smaller cubes to assist with organization and separation of your gear. Each cube can be used on its own as a zippered tote, thanks to carrying handles that can be thrown over the shoulder. Each cube is a different color (red, yellow, green), has a mesh-semi-see through top, and clear plastic sleeve that all combine to provide easy organization solutions. The outer compartment and cubes provide 90.1 L of storage space. The main compartment also touts a free standing design, beefy side handles that allow you to carry the compartment like a back pack, and tie loops to keep the Modular Hauler in place in your trunk. Our testers loved having the ability to divide up their gear: one cube for cooking utensils-stove,, another for food, and the final for miscellaneous items such as head lamps, water purifier, and extra clothing layers. Testers also liked the rugged rubber bottom of the main compartment, bright easy to see colors, and quality of craftsmanship. The Mountainsmith Modular Hauler 3 Storage System is a nice addition to our collection and will be used over and over on our many testing adventures. Shannon

Shannon, our fabulous female tester, takes gear testing to a new level for women. When not at work or school, she is most likely training for a marathon, climbing one of Colorado’s tallest peaks, riding her road bike, or skiing down a mountain slope. Like many women, Shannon gets cold easily, therefore, we try to test the best all weather gear to help her stay warm and dry during all day outdoor pursuits. In the warmer months, Shannon enjoys exploring the Colorado backcountry with her friends and dogs and attempts to escape for as many trail runs as her schedule allows. Shannon is a great women’s tester because she gives readers true insight into how a product may perform for an active woman.
