Created with the outdoor adventurer in mind, FORLOH’s products are designed with intention. While FORLOH is primarily focused on hunting gear and apparel (FORLOH: FOR Love Of Hunting) I tried out the FORLOH Deep Space Tech Leggings for my running adventures. Designed for the female outdoor enthusiast, I was attracted to the claims of heat retention and durability. My trail running can take me through some really gnarly places and I wanted pants that could stand up to the abuse.
The Fit and Feel of the FORLOH Deep Space Tech Legging
Using the sizing chart on the FORLOH website, I choose size medium. I found this was pretty consistent with what I would normally order in leggings. They were a little tighter than expected, but not so much that I wanted a larger size. I recommend that if you are in between sizes, order up.
The Deep Space Tech Leggings are made of 87% Polyester and 13% Spandex. The material seems pretty tough, which I was hoping for. They are not overly thick but they have a nice solid color and don’t look thin when you squat or stretch them tight. The legs were nicely shaped to allow more room in the thighs and hips, but narrow at the ankle. The knee area was shaped so that there was no bunching up behind my knee while running. They weren’t the softest pair of leggings I have ever worn but they were well fitted and well constructed.
I was pretty impressed with length. The size chart indicates that the inseam is 27″ which is way too short for my 6′ body, but I’m used to that. To my surprise, they had much more length and didn’t leave me feeling like I was wearing capri pants. They were also fitted in the right areas on my long legs. I’m not sure they would be the right fit for shorter women.
Quality in Craftsmanship
FORLOH sewed these leggings with beautiful flat stitching on both sides of the garment. As a result, they were super comfortable. And I have had no problems with chafing or rubbing from the seams. The crotch has a gusset to prevent stress on the seams and allow for movement in every direction.
Although the seams are sewn with a stretch stitch, I felt as though the stitching could be a little more stretchy. I really had to put some stress on the ankle hems to get them over my feet and was worried I may break some threads. Other than that one issue, the stitching was flawless.

I was pleasantly surprised that these pants did what they claimed without feeling like I was wearing a mylar blanket. I tested these pants at several runs above 10,000 ft where the mornings are still in the 30’s. While I didn’t feel like I was wearing windproof snow pants, I definitely noticed that the leggings felt warmer than normal leggings. The real test for me was during my run. It’s normal for me to get sweaty, especially in my lower back and my waistband. I felt like the Deep Space Tech Leggings did a great job of moving the sweat away from my body so it could evaporate. They also dried super quick after my run.

Final Thoughts and Recommendations
The FORLOH Deep Space Tech Leggings are high waisted and have two deep side pockets to hold your belongings. I found the pockets were a great size for a cell phone or to carry some snacks while running. The pants are well constructed and the stitching is very high quality. The material, while not overly thick, retains heat and sheds moisture easily.
I initially balked at the $99 price tag but was attracted to the features of the Trizar heat retention, odor control Polygiene, and claim of moisture wicking and quick-dry. I am glad I made the order. The leggings have performed flawlessly, are durable while running through brushy trails and have retained their colors and quality after multiple washes. They are well worth the money!
