This is a sharp-looking paddle with quality components. It comes in only one color, white handle, and black paddle. It’s not overly flashy but looks good!
Rev Aria Pro Grip
The first thing I noticed is the grip is a little longer than standard paddles. I really like this as it allows an easier two-handed backhand. The grip is soft but still enables you to have a firm hold on the paddle. I like having a little longer paddle for an extended reach. This one is 5.5″ inches long.
The face of the paddle is very grippy. The picture is zoomed in on the texture. As you run your hand along it you can tell how much texture is built in. I noticed right away when I started to put spin on the ball. I could put serious movement on the ball with my forehand or backhand.
Rev Aria Pro Power
One thing that was a standout feature for me was how much power I could put on my shots. In both my overhead smash and forehand drives, I really put pace on the ball. My regular pickleball friends noticed as well and commented on how fast the ball was being returned. I also didn’t feel like I lost a lot of control which I always thought was a tradeoff for the power. I could still pick where I wanted shots to go.
Rev Aria Pro Feel and Price
The carbon fiber makes this a lightweight paddle. It feels almost thin compared to other paddles I have used. Because of this being at the kitchen line, it was easy to shift positions and block shots back. The extended reach makes dinks a little easier to get to and the ball pops off the paddle, so less forcing it where you need it to go. I am really impressed with the value of this paddle. These days you can spend a lot of money for a “good” paddle. This one is a bargain at $119.99 for the kind of power, and control you get! It’s fun to use and I bet you won’t want to put in down after your first big swing!
Rev Aria Pro summary
This has become my paddle of choice and have much more expensive options that I own. I am impressed with the ability to put massive spin on the ball or hit flat with power. The slightly longer grip helps get both hands on the backhand if you need it and reach to get those hard to get to balls. I really like how the serves feel when giving it some power! It’s so light and easy to swing that you won’t want to put it down! For more info on the Aria Pro, visit www.revpickleball.com or www.amazon.com.
