Arcade A2 Stretch Belt Review

Arcade was founded on the belief that belts could be designed to function better, last longer and be more comfortable. This is the first line of Arcades “Our Story”. Arcade has long been known for their hiking and working belts. When they added the A2 style belt to their already awesome lineup of belts, I had to check them out. I ordered the A2 Stretch Belt in the style, “Atlas”. The Atlas style Belt comes in seven colors and Standard or Long lengths. I ordered this belt to use for my hiking and backpacking pants. Alas, this belt did not disappoint!

Stretch That Moves With You

The Arcade A2 Stretch Belt was made with the active adventurer in mind. The belt itself is thick and durable but still has a gently flex that moves with the contours of your body. The stitching is heavy duty and it adds to the rugged feel of the belt. The adjustment is through the buckle attachment point and once it is in place, it stays neatly where you have set it. There is a thick retention loop that slides on the belt to help keep the excess belt material in place. It is a great design that is easy to adjust. In addition to the functionality, the belt was comfortable! When I bent over, I didn’t feel like I had too much buckle in the belly area or a gaping back loop. I was impressed by the stretch and flex that this belt offered.

A size for every shape and size

Regardless of your shape or size, Arcade has sized the A2 Belt for you. It is available in standard or long sizing. The standard size fits waists up to 40 inches. The long size fits waist up to 50 inches. Regardless of your waist size, you can also order the A2 Stretch Belt in Slim or Standard belt width. Slim is 1.25 inches and will fit into most women’s pants (we have smaller belt loops). The Standard belt is 1.5 inches wide. I really appreciated the options for sizing and was able to order the belt that fit me perfectly.

A Recent Improvement to Arcade A2 Stretch Belts: The Buckle

In Arcades new generation of Stretch Belt, the A2, improvements were made to the buckle. The new contoured buckle is low profile and curved to fit to your body. Never once in my backpacking or hiking adventures did I feel any sharp corners. Also, there was not a bulky buckle under my backpacking belt. The buckle opens and closes easily and the pointy male end of the buckle slides easily into the female half. The buckle was durable and there really weren’t any parts that I thought may get broken in the future. I was impressed with the look and feel of this buckle and found it to be super comfortable.
