Salomon Snowtrip II Pant Review

We’ve been testing out the Salomon Snowtrip II pants on some of our early winter adventures. To start, the Snowtrip II pant is a softshell snow pant that performs well in almost any activity. Although these pants are geared towards skiing and snowboarding, we actually liked these pants best while snowshoeing. With a wind and water resistant outer and a soft fleece lining on the inside, they allow you to vent out warm moisture when you heat up and they stay warm and cozy when you’re not exerting yourself. Prime examples of where this feature comes in handy include: skiing and snowboarding down a run and then jumping on a cold chair lift or snowshoeing up a hill or mountain and then descending. One downfall that some people may find with these pants is that they fit a little slimmer than your normal snow pant, so if you are the type that likes to wear their pants around your knees, these are not the pants for you. If you wear your pants like most, these pants are a great option. A few other features worth mentioning are the two side zipper pockets and the built in gators to keep snow from getting in your boots. Overall, these pants get a thumb and 3/4 from AGR staffers for we thought they were great for snowshoeing and Nordic skiing.
