Swiftwick REPREVE Maxus socks

Swiftwick has launched their new Maxus model with REPREVE footbeds, made from recycled polyester. Each pair of the brand’s newly released Maxus socks is made from the equivalent of one single use plastic bottle.

REPREVE transforms recycled bottles into a usable fiber through a process that embeds properties like moisture-wicking, adaptive warming and cooling, water repellence and more at the fiber level for reliable and durable quality. Swiftwick combines these properties with a polyester, nylon and spandex blend to give the socks their ultra-soft feel and wicking properties.

Beyond recycling single use materials, the REPREVE production process also offsets using new petroleum, reducing the greenhouse gas emissions and water and energy typically used when producing “virgin fiber”.

The new REPREVE socks are part of a greater initiative of incorporating more environmentally friendly materials in their products. As of this month 100% of Swiftwick socks are produced with Responsible, Renewable or Recycled materials. To learn more about Swiftwick’s line of REPREVE Maxus socks, visit www.swiftwick.com.
