As you can see from the photos, this is not your typical active-use boxer ‘brief’, which fits snug like a compression short. This piece fits loose, but not so much that they bunch up in your pants or shorts, causing irritation. I felt that the fit is just right – fitted but not snug. The 5% spandex content of the main body of the short also helps to make the tighter fit more comfortable. The full content of the material is 55% Organic Cotton/ 40% Viscose from Bamboo/5% Lycra. All seams in the boxer are also constructed with soft-thread flat seams, helping to keep them chafe-free.
The waistband of the Loose-Fit Boxer, a common cause of problems in other underwear, is a very soft brushed cotton material with tag-less design. I didn’t feel any irritation from it at all, even when wearing a pack with waist strap tight around my hips. The front fly has a single button opening design.
Bamboo gives great odor-prevention and natural wicking
I usually wear running shorts with built-in briefs for running, speed-hiking and other high-intensity activities. I was able to test the tasc loose-fit boxer for travel, fitness walking, cruiser-biking, casual use, and happy-hour enjoyment. I do think these are the most comfortable boxers I’ve ever worn. I never even gave them a second thought. After a dozen or so uses, the stretch properties seem as good as new, and I’ve appreciated the wicking properties and odor-fighting of the bamboo content. I will definitely be turning to these for travel and hiking in the coming months.
