The Toad&Co Oblique skirt is a mainstay in my work and leisure wardrobe. The Oblique skirt is available in four fall colors to easily mix in with your favorites. The colors range from a smoke blue, cranberry red, all the way to a nice espresso brown, as well as your basic black. Every time I wear my Oblique skirt I get compliments. Whether it is the color, flowiness of the skirt, or the paneling that offer a bit of flare, I am not sure. But when you feel good in a garment, it makes the day a bit better and that is how I feel when I were the Oblique skirt.
So what makes it so special? The fabric! It is super soft and flattering, and does not tend to cling or have static thanks to a touch of Spandex. The remainder of the skirt is comprised of a 50/50 split between Toad&Co’s very own Tencel, a rich jersey knit fabric, and organic cotton. The combo provides a comfortable piece that moves with you and is easy to care for. Toad&Co says that the Oblique skirt can go from “off the floor to out the door!” While I haven’t quite done that yet, I have pulled it out of a pack filled with wrinkles; within a few minutes it was ready to tackle the day with me.
The Oblique skirt feels true to size and features a nice wide waistband that is not only flattering, but also helps to keep the skirt in place. I am 5’9″ and 130 lbs. and the size small was great, the skirt hit just above my knees making the length suitable for most occasions. The skirt is available in XS to XL. As for washing and care for the skirt, I have washed it about 4-6 times and simply wash on cold and hang to dry. The skirt air dries nice and quick out in Colorado. Unlike some other Toad&Co products featuring Tencel that I have tested in the past, the Oblique skirt has yet to pill up, which I love because I can keep wearing the skirt for more seasons to come.
