The JK Band is a great product for those who have patellofemoral pain syndrome that presents as anterior knee pain. Patellofemoral pain Syndrome is pain in the front of the knee, and frequently occurs in teenagers, manual laborers, and athletes. Sometimes it is caused by wearing down, roughening, or softening of the cartilage under the kneecap. Zamst JK Band Performance

I recently finished my first Ironman in Boulder and shortly after I started running again. I may not have giving myself enough time to heal after such a big endeavor. Since then I started experiencing some pain on my right knee. I started using the JK Band and immediately noticed relief from my pain. The band works by stabilizing the problem area. The band has dual velcro fasteners for adjustable compression which keeps the band in place right under the knee. The tendon foam compression pad is also removable for custom fit and versatility. I do recommend keeping the compression pad in place as it provides the best stability around the problem areas. I went on several longer runs without any discomfort or chafing.
