Marmot Tempo Jacket Review

The Marmot Tempo Jacket utilizes Marmot’s M3 Softshell technology to produce a highly breathable, stretchy, water-resistant, and a lightweight barrier to the elements. The M3 softshell technology is Marmot’s lightest and most breathable softshell, making the Tempo jacket perfect for high intensity exercises, such as running. The Tempo jacket weighs a mere 15 ounces and has an excellent fit; long enough arms to keep your wrists covered, Marmot’s patented Angel-Wing Movement, which allow for full arm range of motion without pulling the bottom of the jacket up, and a true women’s fit that is flattering whether wearing this jacket on a run or around town. We tested the Tempo jacket on early morning runs around town and several Front Range hikes out in Colorado. The Tempo jacket is extremely visible when worn in the dark thanks to two reflective logos and reflective tape under the zipper. The Tempo Jacket has a zippered sleeve pocket for an mp3 player and two zippered hand warmer pockets. Our testers felt that the Tempo jacket did an excellent job shedding water while caught out in a rain-snow mix. Overall, our tester’s felt that the Tempo’s breathability and lightweight feel make this jacket a great option for fall weather, when temperatures and conditions are highly variable. Shannon

Shannon, our fabulous female tester, takes gear testing to a new level for women. When not at work or school, she is most likely training for a marathon, climbing one of Colorado’s tallest peaks, riding her road bike, or skiing down a mountain slope. Like many women, Shannon gets cold easily, therefore, we try to test the best all weather gear to help her stay warm and dry during all day outdoor pursuits. In the warmer months, Shannon enjoys exploring the Colorado backcountry with her friends and dogs and attempts to escape for as many trail runs as her schedule allows. Shannon is a great women’s tester because she gives readers true insight into how a product may perform for an active woman.
