Even with my 190 lbs. weight, the scooter accelerated smoothly and effortlessly to its maximum speed on flat terrain.
When it comes to inclines, the KS4 Pro can handle slopes up to 15 degrees. I tested it on various hills around my local golf course. While it managed moderate inclines well, it struggled with steeper ones, requiring me to push it like a traditional scooter.
Impressive Battery Range
Hiboy claims that the KS4 Pro can travel up to 25 miles on a single charge under ideal conditions. To test this, I took the scooter on a full charge and completed a loop, monitoring the battery using the Hiboy App. Although the app’s distance measurement was slightly off (showing 7.0 miles instead of the actual 9.7 miles), the battery usage seemed to align with the advertised range. I ended my ride with the battery at 54%, suggesting a realistic range of around 21.08 miles, considering my weight and riding speed.
Safety and Features of the Hiboy KS4 Pro
Brilliant Lighting System
Riding safely at night is a priority for many, and the KS4 Pro excels in this area. It features a non-adjustable headlight, vibrant sidelights, and a brake light. The sidelights are particularly striking, offering a cool red glow that’s highly visible in low-light conditions. The integrated display is also a highlight, providing real-time information about speed, battery status, and more.
Hiboy App Integration
The Hiboy S2 App enhances the riding experience by allowing you to view statistics, monitor battery life, and control various features. You can lock and unlock the scooter, activate cruise control, and switch between different riding modes (ECO, D, and S gears). The app’s connectivity and functionality make managing the scooter convenient and straightforward.
Braking and Tires of the Hiboy KS4 Pro
Reliable Braking System

I found the brakes to be very responsive and effective, easily bringing the scooter to a stop from full speed with minimal effort.
Honeycomb Tires and Suspension
The scooter’s 10-inch honeycomb tires are designed for durability and low maintenance, eliminating the risk of air leaks. While they provide decent stability, they also transmit a significant amount of vibration to the handlebars. Despite the rear shock absorption system, the ride felt somewhat rough compared to scooters with air-filled tires. The rear shock seemed too stiff and didn’t noticeably compress during my rides. To improve comfort, softer handlebar grips or an adjustable shock absorber could be beneficial.
