Patagonia Better Clog Review

Your feet will be caught off guard as they slip into luxury with Patagonia Women’s Better Clog. Patagonia is known for the quality and performance of their merchandise. The Women’s Better Clog is no exception. Packed with Patagonia’s attention to detail the Better Clog is a perfect shoe for long hours on your feet.

Patagonia Better Clog Upper

I have worn Danskos for the past 6 years while working long 12 hour days & nights being a Registered Nurse. After years of use my feet just were not happy with Danskos anymore and I was on a mission to find a replacement to again have happy feet. The second I slipped my feet into the Better Clog I could hear my feet singing hallelujah! The most impressive feature about the Better Clog is the pigskin lining & latex footbed lined with pigskin. These features combined make the Better Clog slip on ready. Right out of the box there was no break in time required. After a few weeks of wear, the footbed completely formed to my feet making the Better Clog even more comfortable every time I wore them. The pigskin is smooth and purely feels luxurious. The overall glove-like fit to the Better Clog provided comfort all day long whether I was working, shopping, walking around town, or on my way to a new adventure.

Patagonia Better Clog Fit

The upper part of the Better Clog is made of full-grain leather that is soft, pliable, & durable. I have a few small scratches on mine from normal wear and tear but overall, the Better Clog has maintained its color and shape through hours of vigorous walking.

Patagonia Better Clog Insole

The Better Clog weighs in at 11 oz.  It is a fairly lightweight clog compared to other clogs on the market. The 20% recycled rubber outsole offers amazing traction when walking on uneven or icy ground. Walking to and from the parking lot into work was always a struggle in my Danskos. The Better Clog has remarkable grip on icy pavement & loose rock. I no longer have to fear that I’ll slip and fall.

Patagonia Better Clog Review

The Better Clog has a small heel which offers great versatility & style when wearing jeans, dresses, skirts, and dress pants. What girl doesn’t love a shoe that they can wear for a variety of occasions? The heel & rubber outsole provides a fluent heel-to-toe transition. I have high arches and a normal width toe box. The Better Clog provides me with enough arch support to keep my feet ache free. The only drawback of the Better Clog is its breathability. During my 12 hour shifts I noticed that my feet would get rather hot and sweaty. I have not had that problem when I wear them outside of work because I typically only wear them for a couple hours at a time.  The glove-like fit traps your body heat in which does not allow your feet to breath easy. However, the Better Clogs glove-like fit is also one of the best qualities in providing lasting comfort.

Patagonia Better Clog Comfort

The Better Clog is true to size. I wear a US 8.5/Euro 39.5 and that is what I ordered. I can wear lightweight socks with the Better Clog, however, if you are planning to wear a more mid to heavyweight sock I would suggest going up a half size. The Better Clog comes in 3 colors: Deep Espresso, Black, & Cattail. The Better Clog is an all-in-one clog that is stylish & provides excellent support for all day comfort. The Better Clog is truly the most comfortable shoe I own. Let your feet be happy! For more information on the Better Clog and other Patagonia products, visit www.patagonia.com.
